Blue Jays

I haven't posted in a while...don't know exactly why I stopped, probably because my computer is so low it takes forever it seems to accomplish anything on it. BUT... I can't let that stop me. I want to share some pics of my friends the Steller Blue Jays. They were with me all through last winter. They are a beautiful magestic bird. I haven't seen too many of them this winter though and I'm not sure why.

ENJOY.

NOT SO ITSY BITSY!!

These are the Cat Face spiders! YES!! They Are BIGGUNS! Mr. Hermit says he would never kill one because they eat all the bugs that bug us.......So, we have THREE of these pets making their homes on our porch. Last year we had moths, flies and other flying bugs attacking us all summer. I am so surprised but it's true we have very few if any of these pests bugging us this year and the humming birds seem to be disappearing as well!? Hummm (just kidding!) These spiders sleep during the day and come out to clean house when we're sleeping so it's not too bad to share our space with these furry creatures.

HUMMMMM.......

CHANGE IS GOOD

From the ugly birth of the caterpillar....is created one of natures most beautiful creatures. The butterfly only lives a short life span, but look what we would be missing.........

Early Morning Hours

As I was in my dream land of the early morning hours, I was startled awake by my trusting companion Maddy barking at the window. Chewy chimed in immediately after. My kids were awake. Looking out I saw Mama Moose wondering what that noise was all about and where it was coming from. Such fierce noise, but no attacks. Then Baby showed up stumbling down the road. (See the previous post for the picture of the moose). They cautiously trotted away. The birds had been up long before now singing and humming and the feeders were all close to being empty. The sun peeked over the mountains and the breezes blew the night away. My day has begun.
